Script Consulting & Creative Coaching

Professional Screenplay Feedback & Script Consulting

Notes and creative coaching for feature films and shorts. Revision intensives aimed at getting you unstuck and on your way to a coherent, satisfying piece. Bootcamps to turn your short into a feature.

“AMAZING intensive to become a better screenwriter. Not only was it productive on a professional level but on a personal growth level as well. Highly recommend.”

-Ángel Manuel Soto (Blue Beetle, Charm City Kings)
-Project: feature screenplay

“I've historically bristled at the thought of doing this kind of script work, but Clara made it so enjoyable and collaborative that it rekindled my sense of excitement for the project.”

–Estevan Padilla (Filmmaker, Rainin Fellow)
–Project: feature screenplay

“I have been wrestling with a feature forever and eventually I called Clara. She read it and sat down with me and gave me an entire new system for how to rewrite/track my characters and create satisfying arcs... But somehow did it in a way that felt so manageable and didn’t make me revolted by the idea of structure. As a result, I was able to completely re-break the story and author a revision I genuinely loved... all within a week.”

-Lola Blanche (AFI Graduate, BAFTA Scholar)
-Project: Feature Screenplay

“I say without a doubt that working with Clara on my script was one of the most clarifying and powerful experiences I have ever had as an artist. I had been stuck for two years. Clara breathed life back into my art. I was inspired again. I was fearless again. Her presence empowered me in ways that transformed me as an artist forever.”

-Rotana (Musician, Performer, Writer, Activist)
-Project: Full length one woman musical stage play

I’ve always loved the adage about giving a man a fish v. teaching a man to fish. Simply put, I’m here to teach creatives how to fish or, better said, how to cultivate discipline and build a craft. Yes, I can and will help you fix your script or get unstuck on a project, but I’ll also help you develop the tools to get yourself unstuck in the future on your own.

REVISION INTENSIVE (features ≤ 120 pages)
We sit down (either in person or virtually) and assess what’s not working with your script and why you might be getting stuck. We’ll clearly define what your script is about, your protagonist’s journey, and re-break your story if necessary. You will walk out of this session with a new outline structure, a clear action plan to execute on it, and a new set of tools to get yourself unstuck in the future.

   3 DAY – $2500 – 13 hands-on hours, 1 hour final check-in (includes read of updated draft)

SHORT-TO-FEATURE WORKSHOP (shorts ≤ 30 pages)
Kind of like a writer’s room for your feature! We take a look at your short script and start doing the hard (and exciting!) work to flesh it out into a full feature screenplay. We’ll define what your story is about, your protagonist’s journey, and start breaking your feature story. While properly breaking a whole feature cannot be done in a day, you will walk out of this session with the beginnings of an outline, a clear action plan for where to go next, and a new set of tools to get yourself unstuck in the future.
    1 DAY – $1190 – 6 hands-on hours, 1 hour final check-in (includes read of updated draft/outline)
